Ignacio De Pinedo

Ignacio De Pinedo, Licensed Massage Therapist and Registered Facial Specialist, began his therapeutic training in Toronto, Canada where he was exposed to a vast variety of therapeutic approaches for soft tissue manipulation including Myofacsial Stretch, Deep Tissue Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Assessment, Stretching Techniques and Sport Massage. After being introduced to different Eastern modalities of therapeutic massage Ignacio understood that the Eastern view of the body as a whole was an important asset to the more prompt rehabilitation from injuries and/or illnesses. Including the body’s subjective and psychological aspect as well as the physical dysfunction in treatment has been a leap forward to a more effective treatment plan, thus reducing rehabilitation time. Since then Ignacio has become more interested in deepening his knowledge about different therapeutic techniques from China, Japan and Thailand. He has undergone many different trainings in Tuina (Tui-Na) Chinese Massage, Shiatsu Japanese Massage, Thai Medical Massage, and Reiki Japanese bioenergetics. Ignacio is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. His constant drive for improving his technique has taken him back to school, he is currently working towards his Masters degree in Oriental Medicine under the instruction of Dr. Gordon Xu, where the therapeutic treatment includes acupuncture, herbal prescriptions and nutritional therapy.
