Jamie Goodman is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and is a California State licensed acupuncturist. She has a B.S. with honors from U.C. Berkeley (1985), and an M.S. (1998) from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences.

She studied closely with Dr. Angela Wu, completing an intensive three year apprenticeship with a strong focus on immune enhancement, women’s health and infertility. After becoming licensed in 1999, Jamie returned to work as an associate in Dr. Wu’s office and began an acupuncture practice at The Mindful Body. Prior to beginning her acupuncture practice at The Mindful Body, Jamie was on our staff as a massage therapist.

Ms. Goodman studied Chi Nei Tsang with Mantak Chia, Gilles Marin and Angela Wu and is a certified and experienced practitioner. Ms. Goodman has a certificate from Dr. Wu in fertility enhancement. She took classes with Dr. Richard Tan, and uses his method to effectively treat pain conditions. She has done extended study with Dr. Raven Lang in treating pregnant, laboring and post-partum women.

Jamie Goodman uses acupuncture, acupressure, Chinese herbs, cupping, Chi Nei Tsang, dietary and lifestyle counseling and meditation education in treatment.

Ms. Goodman has special interest , education and experience treating back and neck pain conditions, infertility issues( men and women), and pregnant and post-partum women. She also has a general practice treating conditions ranging from migraines, headaches, sinus congestion and allergies, colds and flu’s, shoulder and knee pain, digestive distress including bloating and constipation, eating disorders, carpal tunnel syndrome, TMJ, stress related disorders, addiction, anxiety, depression, dysmennorrhea, menstrual irregularities, and insomnia.
